Welcome to the Lhanbryde Community Website.
Lhanbryde is a small community of some 2,000 residents, situated 3 miles southeast of the city of Elgin on the main arterial trunk route between Aberdeen and Inverness, the A96.

The village is a contrast of the old and the new, with parts dating back to 16th Century whilst large tracts of the village are less than 30 years old.

A comprehensive history of the village is contained within this site, and we would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to the family of the late Alistair Merson for allowing us to use so much of his excellent history of Lhanbryde.

Despite its size Lhanbryde is a very active community with a wide range of social and sporting activities taking place. The focal point of this community effort is the Community Centre, situated on Robertson Road.
