Welcome to Lhanbryde

Lhanbryde is a small community with a population of about 2000, some 5 miles south east of Elgin in Morayshire. Many peoples perception of Lhanbryde is of a fairly new settlement, but we beg to differ. Our History section shows that there is evidence of continuous occupation of this area for over 3000 years! Although the Picts have moved on they've left behind standing stones as a lasting memorial to their influence. The Village Hall forms the centre of the modern settlement of Lhanbryde, a meeting place for many of the community groups in the Village, a community training and advice centre.

We hope you'll enjoy visiting this site and if you're ever driving along the A96 between Aberdeen & Inverness, why not make a short detour and 'drop in?', we'd love to meet you.
